MISTER BANDIT MUSICAL

 Mister Bandit Musical

Mario Silviano Hernández Ibarra

Mario Silviano Hernández Ibarra, he was my father. In 1955, Mexican women cast their vote first time. That was the year my father, was born on September 12, in Calimaya, Mexico.

My father's parents had 7 children and my father was the oldest child. Her parents were farmers and he worked there when he was a young child. While he was sowing in 1963, a snake bit his leg.

When he was a teenager, he used to play soccer with his Briseño team. But what he really liked was music, My father only finished middle school because he had to help my grandparents to work. Mario bought his first guitar when he was 16 years old and in his free time, my father used to go to his uncle's house to learn to play musical instruments. In 1974, he had learned to play the guitar, the saxophone, and the drumps and he was part of his uncle's orchestra.

My father taught his brother to play different musical instruments and in 1976 he created his first musical group "Mister Bandido" he was playing the drums.

In 1978, at age of 23, he married Maria Alejandra Huerta Guadarrama and they had three children Samuel, Isabel and Ariene.

Mario Hernández lived all his life in Calimaya, dying on 3 December 2015 at age of 60. However "Mister Bandido" did not die and it is now called "Mister Bandido con Nueva Sangre".

She went to lived with my grandfatather at 17 years old and she get engaged after 6 years.

His family wasn’t liberal because they wouldn’t her out, she only thouht of care of their parents and helped. She did’t studied because there weren’t many schools but before when they finished to high school there were opportunities to work.

My grandfather

His name was Aristeo Antonio Alvarado, he died nine years ago. His parents lived at the time of the revolution and they used to tell him about events that had happened during that time.He married my grandmother at 25 years old, she was 15 when they decided to live together.

A year later his first daughter was born, and each year a new children was born in total there were 10 but one died days after being born.

My grandfather used to take his children to the fields to work and my grandmother used to have girls at home. They always lived with a “machista” idea.

My grandfather didn´t have memories of his family, so the last name "Alvarado" didn´t have a great history in my family. It probably didn´t belong to my grandfather because he could never remember his full father's name and never knew his paternal family.

Life of a warrior

Life is not a problem to be solved, but a reality to be experienced.

Romualda Gonzalez Valentin was born in 1942, she spent her whole life in her hometown that is San Lorenzo Oyamel, Temoaya. She is my grandmother, mother of my father.

She lived with his parents, Lazaro and Marcelina, her sisters were Bartola and Gabriela, her brother were Antonino, Eduardo and Hilario. During her childhood she played with her sisters, my grandmother didn’t go to the school because her family was very large and her parents were low-income.

Romualda knew how to count, but she didn’t learn to read, she started working since she was in her teens, she learned to make clay pots, because her parents and uncles were dedicated to that. My grandmother sold her clay pots in different places near her hometown, this is how she met my grandfather, they married in 1961, both were engaged in the production and sale of clay pots. My grandfather and my grandmother always worked very hard, because that is how their parents had taught them

They had six children, 4 women and 2 men, they were very happy, unfortunately in 1987 my grandfather died, then my grandmother became a widow, so now she had to work longer, she told me that this was really difficult and quite tiring.

My grandmother was sick for many years, she had diabetes until the last day of life She died just seven months ago. My family and I miss her a lot, because she always told us things about her life or stories that left us surprised.

My grandmother is an example for me, because she never gave up. She is an example of perseverance for me.

A love story

When I was a child, I used to listen to my grandmother.

She told me about love…

Maria de los Angeles Torres Lara is my grandmother, she was born on 2 August 1942. My grandmother’s parents had already had 3 children before her. She lived her childhood in Toluca. When she was a child, she used to take care of the cattle and her younger brothers. She went to school for three years because her parents believed that she had to get married. But she didn´t want to get married.

In 1956 my grandmother met her first love, she was fourteen years old, but she thought that Zeferino Santos Mejia Martinez was the love of her life.

They didn't become a couple because they were very young…

In 1962 she moved to Mexico City. She found work with a German family, but she didn’t forget her first love.

While she was working hard in Mexico City, Zeferino was getting engaged to another woman in Toluca.

She returned to Toluca until 1964 and she discovered that Zeferino was married and he had a son. She was very hurt, so she came back to Mexico City and she worked with the German family until 1968 when her mother got sick and my grandmother had to take care of her.

But when she returned to Toluca, she was surprised because she found out about her love again. Zeferino had been widowed and that he was raising a son alone.

Sometime later they met again, and they fell in love. She got married to Zeferino in 1972 when she was thirty years old.

In 1973 she had the first daughter and two years later she had a son who was my father.

She used to tell me that true love exists. My grandmother has always been kind and intelligent, that is the reason because I think that she is an amazing woman.
